Expression of Interest – Senior Youth Support Worker – The Box Museum Partnership

5 hours per week | Fixed‑term pilot to March 2027

Grade: JNC – Senior Youth Support Worker (N347)

Service: Community Youth Team

Reporting to: Senior Professional Youth Worker

This role forms part of a time‑limited pilot to March 2027, intended to strengthen targeted delivery, build workforce capacity, and inform future service development. The role provides senior practitioner leadership within a defined project area and does not involve line management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior youth work leadership within the partnership with The Box Museum
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver inclusive, youth‑led creative and cultural youth work programmes
  • Support young people to access wider creative, cultural and heritage opportunities
  • Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, accessibility (including SEND), and youth participation are embedded across delivery
  • Lead on programme planning, reflective practice, and evaluation, recording outcomes linked to wellbeing, confidence and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with cultural partners, colleagues, and wider professionals
  • Contribute to the consistent embedding of My Way Health and Wellbeing objectives within practice
  • Act as a senior practitioner resource, supporting quality and best practice (without line management)

  • Are currently employed within the Community Youth Team or wider PCC youth work service
  • Have experience delivering high‑quality youth work and providing practice leadership
  • Are confident leading partnership‑based projects and representing the service externally
  • Wish to extend their core hours in a focused, senior practitioner role
