The predicted salary is between 24413 - 24413 £ per year.

Grade A – Salary £24,413 pro rata. We have 5 vacancies with varied hours between 8 & 14 per week. Applicants can apply for more than one post. Please note, this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship and we can only consider applicants with existing right to work in the UK.

Then why not join the Facilities Management team at Plymouth City Council. Council employees and our partners work across various sites across the City. The team are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of these sites. Our cleaning team work to the highest standards to ensure that our buildings are clean, secure and safe for our staff and partners and everyone plays an important part in making this happen.

Responsibilities

  • As a Facilities Cleaner you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls/glass, vacuuming, emptying bins and dusting.
  • You may be required to open and close buildings depending on the site you are working.
  • You will also be expected to report and, where necessary, escalate building defects to enable a resolution to be found.
  • This role will be physically challenging and involves manual handling activities.
  • Our cleaning team operate in 46 sites across the City working various shift patterns, primarily morning or evening shifts, Monday to Saturday.

We have the following vacancies:

  • The Council House – One position for 10 hours per week – Monday to Friday 06:00 to 08:00.
  • Ballard House, West Hoe Road, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 3BJ – Two positions for 10 hours per week – Monday to Friday 17:00 to 19:00.
  • The Box, Tavistock Place, Plymouth, Devon PL4 – One position for 14 hours per week – Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 10:00 and Saturday 16:00 to 18:00.
  • St Budeaux Library – One position for 8 hours per week – Monday to Thursday. Shift pattern to be confirmed.

There is flexibility to adjust shift patterns and this can be discussed at interview. You will be allocated a primary location but will be expected to work across alternative sites when required. This will be discussed at interview.
