The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 £ per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Officer to work in the Environmental Health and Licensing Team providing a regulatory service to keep residents safe and well.

Responsibilities

  • This role involves processing licensing applications across all of the licensing functions, as well as carrying out various checks to ensure any new or existing licence holder meets the Council’s policy requirements throughout the course of their licence.
  • There will also be a requirement to provide other support to the Environmental Health team, as and when required.
  • You will work alongside other Licensing/Environmental Health Support Officers supporting various staff across the wider Environmental Health and Licensing team.

Working Arrangements

This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service. You will need to attend on site for the majority of the working week, although there may be some opportunity for home working after full training has been provided. This will depend on which part of the service you are supporting and may fluctuate.

Qualifications

You must have good administration experience, with excellent IT skills, and be able to work efficiently in a busy team, whilst having good attention to detail. You will be dealing directly with those applying for licences daily at the Council offices.
