About The Role
In this role, you will play a key part in the Bereavement Service by supporting bereaved families with advice and guidance, over the phone, by email or face to face. You will contribute to maintaining excellent service standards and ensuring that the needs of service users are met with care and professionalism. Working in a small admin team you will work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring that admin tasks are dealt with and within service level agreements whilst tasks remain effective and responsive to changing needs. This is a varied and engaging role, processing the paperwork for either the cremation or the burial of the deceased. Supporting bereaved families with the booking of Wakes, purchasing memorials and general enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, effective, and specialist business support across the Bereavement Service
- Contribute to the successful delivery of departmental objectives and service standards
- Maintain and develop operational systems and procedures aligned to service requirements
- Support day-to-day service delivery, ensuring smooth and compliant operations
- Supervise staff and coordinate projects to achieve key outcomes
- Assist with financial processes, including budget monitoring and support
