Plymouth City Council is seeking a proactive and organised Civil Protection Support Officer to help ensure our city is prepared for and can respond effectively to emergencies. This opportunity will provide the successful candidate with all the necessary knowledge and experience required to advance their career in emergency management.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling reports and briefing notes
  • Collating technical information and research summaries
  • Assisting in the development of emergency plans for specific sites, such as Devonport Dockyard and Cattedown fuel distribution depots
  • Maintaining the Council's Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, including emergency services and voluntary agencies
