Role Description

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to support the commercialisation of our SaaS platform. Working closely with the Sales Manager, Sales Director and CTO you will act as the technical expert during the sales process, helping prospective customers understand how the product works and how it integrates into their operations. You will play a critical role in converting opportunities into sales by demonstrating product value and ensuring technical confidence among customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Explain technical capabilities to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understand customer operational challenges
  • Propose solutions using the SaaS platform
  • Define integration approaches with existing systems
  • Proof-of-concept and validation
  • Support technical evaluations and pilots
  • Address technical questions from customer teams
  • Assist with security and integration discussions
  • Customer onboarding support
  • Help ensure smooth product adoption following contract signing
  • Assist customers in early implementation stages
  • Product feedback
  • Provide structured feedback from customer interactions
  • Help improve product functionality and usability

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BEng or equivalent) in: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace or related discipline, Computer science or software engineering
  • Higher degree desirable but not required

Experience

  • 3 years+ experience in B2B SaaS sales engineering
  • Strong technical understanding of software platforms or data systems
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers
  • Experience in highly regulated industrial manufacturing market sectors
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and CAD models desirable
  • Understanding of composite manufacturing processes desirable
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills
  • Analytical problem-solving
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
