Due to a busy workload, Ply-Line Services Ltd are looking for a technician to join the team! As part of the role, you will be required to travel to customer’s premises to fit ply-lining kits, roof racks, shelving systems and other accessories to commercial vehicles across the North East. As part of our mobile fitting team, a full driving licence is essential and you will need to be able to work well as part of a team and on your own.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer premises to fit ply-lining kits, roof racks, shelving systems and other accessories to commercial vehicles across the North East.
  • Assist with preparation for the next day’s workload on return to the workshop, including marking out and cutting ply-lining kits from plywood using workshop cutting machinery and handheld power tools.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Full current driving licence
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised
  • Reliable
  • Punctual
  • Physically fit
  • Experience of using hand held tools and wood cutting machinery
  • Experience in auto electronics would be advantageous (e.g., installing tow bars, lightbars or reversing cameras)
  • Good practical skills
  • Organised approach to work
  • Skills for accurate measuring
  • An awareness of Health & Safety issues
