Join to apply for the Senior Care Assistant role at Ventry Care, recruiting for our residential care home. We care for older persons and those living with dementia. Rate from £14.00 per hour, plus great benefits and career development opportunities. The ability to work flexibly around your family or other commitments, we can offer between 24 and 36 hours per week, 4 to 5 days.

THE ROLE

  • To run a shift to ensure the care needs of our service users are met; organising your staff team around medication, personal care, continence, moving and handling, mealtime support, social activities, and other tasks required.
  • To build strong professional relationships with all those around you; making sure family and friends feel welcomed, that health care professionals are kept well-informed, and that you keep your manager up to speed with residents' needs and progress.
  • To be a team player, following guidelines and policies, and having good written and IT knowledge to support residents' care plans and record keeping.
  • To help our residents live a full life; to be more independent, to enjoy their daily activities, and to exercise choice in their day-to-day living.
  • To make all the residents you care for feel safe, comfortable, and secure.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE

  • You will have experience working with older people in residential care.
  • You are willing to learn, are flexible, patient, caring, organised, enthusiastic, and great with people.
  • You will have completed your QCF 1-5 (equivalent NVQ 2 or 3 in Care).
