Join to apply for the Care Assistant role at plusdebleu. Care Assistant - day shifts - immediate start at Golders Green, NW11. Work flexibly around your family or other commitments, we can offer between 24 and 36 hours per week. We are recruiting Care Assistants to our residential care homes in Barnet. We care for older persons living with dementia.
THE ROLE
Duties will include personal care, moving and handling, mealtime support, social activities, and other tasks required to support our residents through their lives. You will build strong relationships with all those around you, making sure family and friends feel welcomed, that health care professionals are kept well-informed, and that you keep your team leader up to speed with residents' needs and progress. You will also help our residents to live a full life; to be more independent, to enjoy their daily activities, and to exercise choice in their day-to-day living. Whether you are assisting your team leader, completing care records, or lending someone a hand to eat their lunch, you will make all the residents you care for feel safe, comfortable and secure. In other words, you will make them feel right at home.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE
You will have experience working with older people in residential care, you are willing to learn, are flexible, patient, caring, organised, enthusiastic, and great with people. You will have good written and verbal communication, and be IT competent. You will need to be flexible to work shifts on a rota basis. You will be eligible to work in the UK. You may have completed your QCF 1-5 (equivalent NVQ 2 or 3 in Care).
