Ventry Care are recruiting members of domestic staff (cleaning and laundry) to join the housekeeping team at our residential care home in Golders Green, NW11 (London Borough of Barnet). We care for older persons and older persons with dementia.

Pay: hourly, starts at £12.25 (increasing for excellent candidates).

Hours: 08:00 to 14:00 shift, up to 6 days per week available.

About this role:

  • Essential infection control work – maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Care Home.
  • Cleaning and polishing of lounges, bedrooms, corridors, common rooms and offices.
  • Washing, drying, and packing away of laundry.
  • Carpet shampooing and spring‑cleaning tasks.
  • Use electrical equipment safely (hoover, washing machine, dryer, iron and carpet cleaner).
  • Be aware of the usage and storage of materials and equipment and comply with COSHH requirements at all times.
  • Be aware of hazards and work within a safe environment, taking into account your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.
  • Restock toiletries, soaps, towels, etc. as and when required.
  • Other domestic tasks as directed.

You will be supervised and supported by the care home management and will take instruction from them. Your daily aim is to keep a busy care home clean and organised. You must therefore be self‑motivated and want to work well. Experience is preferable but not essential. Ongoing training and support will be given.
