We are working on behalf of our client who is looking to recruit a Morning Shift Nursery Deputy Manager and Afternoon Shift Nursery Deputy Manager at our independent long-standing nursery.
Morning Shift Nursery Deputy Manager: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Afternoon Shift Nursery Deputy Manager: 12:30pm – 6:30pm
The role is split 90:10 between the room and the office. You will be joining a team of highly motivated, experienced and dedicated professionals where your strengths can be utilised and recognised; and where autonomy will be given to enable growth both personally and professionally.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support on-site staff with planning and delivering sessions and activities.
- Undertake governance responsibilities during the hours of work that overlap with daytime care.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including refining, implementing and rolling out.
- Parent engagement, outside agency engagement and peer engagement with other managers at IMA and our competitors.
- Develop and implement age- and ability-appropriate programme of activities and events, including clubs and focus on curriculum intent (based on the approach of the nursery and targeted to individual children), accounting for SEND if required.
- Maintain general high standards and adopt the ethos of the organisation at all times.
- Refine, adopt and implement safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures.
- Manage administrative duties and regulatory compliance.
- Work collaboratively with peers for the betterment of the business to ensure all children benefit from better outcomes.
- Previous experience in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding nursery, or within a management structure in an Ofsted Good or above rated nursery.
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- 3+ years' experience in a senior role within a nursery/preschool setting.
- Kind, approachable, empathetic, calm and self-motivated.
- Ability to motivate, manage, and work effectively within a team.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS, Montessori approach and current Early Years Inspection Framework.
- Thorough knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare.
