Afterschool Club - Playworker Location: East Dulwich Salary: £13.00 to £15.00 per hour Contract: Temporary toPermanent, Parttime, Term-time Hours: 3.00pm - 6.00pm We are looking for a experience Playworker for our Afterschool Club for a primary school located in East Dulwich. The Role: As an after-school club playworker, you will be working with Reception-aged children (4 years old), supporting their development through play in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment. This role would be particular suitable for candidates who lives close to the East Dulwich area. Responsibilities include: Supporting the daily running of the wraparound provision Leading or assisting with structured play, creative activities and games Ensuring children are safe, happy and engaged Helping with breakfast and snack routines Building positive relationships with children, staff and parents Carry out daily health and safety checks, ensuring good hygiene and health and safety standards are met Qualification Skills: Experience of working with children within a childcare setting Experience working in a Afterschool setting NVQ Level 2/3 in Playworker, Early Years Childcare qualification Paediatric First Aid qualification; Experience of successfully building trust and rapport with children and their parents; Knowledge of Ofsted standards and legislation Knowledge of Designated Safeguarding Officer role
