We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming nursery and school setting in Thamesmead. The setting offers a nurturing, inclusive environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration and positive relationships. Staff work closely as a team to provide high-quality care and early education, supporting each child’s individual development in a safe and stimulating space.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
- Encourage children to develop their social, emotional, and intellectual skills
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families
- Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Creating a safe, engaging and positive environment
- Working collaboratively with staff to meet the needs of all children
- Building strong relationships with children, colleagues and families
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience working with children aged 0-5 years old
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
- A caring, reliable and proactive approach
- A passion for early childhood education
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child development
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
