Nursery Manager Location: Tooting SW17 Salary: £31,500 to £36,500 Contract: full-time, Permanent we are currently looking to recruit a Nursery Manager as soon as possible for our nursery in Tooting, which caters for children aged 0 to 2 years. to oversee daily operations within our childcare centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of staff, liaising with parents, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Responsibilities * Manage the daily operations of the nursery centre, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and programme planning * Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and education * Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood learning * Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with legal requirements and best practices * Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns * Monitor staff performance, organise ongoing training, and support professional development * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years legislation * Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, budgeting, and reporting to senior management * Foster a positive organisational culture centred on teamwork, inclusivity, and continuous improvement Requirements * Qualification L3 in Early Years (mandatory) * Experience in childcare management approach (highly desirable) * Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting * Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and requirements * Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team * Extensive knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures * Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal * Ability to organise workloads efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail * Passionate about child development with a caring attitude towards children’s needs We offer * Friendly Supportive Team * Ability to be the happiest version of yourself * The Chance to inspire your team, support families and truly make a difference. * Ongoing CPD training * Excellent rates of pay and Benefits All successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, join the DBS Update Service and provide two suitable references confirming their suitability to work with children.
