We are looking for a Qualified Level 3 Playworker for our Afterschool Club for a primary school located in East Dulwich.
The Role
As an after-school club playworker, you will be working with Reception-aged children (4 years old), supporting their development through play in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment. This role would be particularly suitable for candidates who live close to the East Dulwich area.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the daily running of the wraparound provision
- Leading or assisting with structured play, creative activities and games
- Ensuring children are safe, happy and engaged
- Helping with breakfast and snack routines
- Building positive relationships with children, staff and parents
- Carrying out daily health and safety checks, ensuring good hygiene and health and safety standards are met
Qualification Skills:
- NVQ Level 3 in Playwork, Early Years Childcare qualification
- Experience of working with children within a childcare setting
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience of successfully building trust and rapport with children and their parents
- Knowledge of Ofsted standards and legislation
- Knowledge of Designated Safeguarding Officer role
You will need to have a clear enhanced DBS Check, either on the Government Update Service or alternatively we can carry out one for you.
