Our client, based in Banbury, is a highly successful, international supplier of capital equipment and due to growth, is currently looking for a Sales Executive to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The main responsibilities of this position are to generate sales enquiries within the UK & Ireland promoting the full range of machines and services. The ideal candidate must hold a qualification or degree in mechanical engineering and a strong B2B sales background. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company that could provide the prospect for progression in the future. Key Responsibilities: Drive sales enquiries across the UK and Ireland, showcasing the full portfolio of machines and services. Prepare detailed costing sheets, offer letters, and presentation materials, while supporting the strategic aspects of projects including negotiations and commercial considerations. Schedule and conduct regular client meetings to explore potential opportunities and stimulate sales interest. Gather and analyse key information during the enquiry phase, such as production needs and site requirements, to further develop sales leads. Conduct preliminary surveying tasks, including measurements and basic sketching or AutoCAD drawings, to support technical teams. Assist in developing new sales tools, templates, and methods to ensure consistency in costings, proposals, customer documentation, and internal reporting. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and nurturing potential customer relationships. Participate in industry exhibitions to strengthen client connections and stay informed about competitor advancements. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience in selling industrial mechanical machinery. Qualification or degree in mechanical engineering is essential. Strong communication and presentation abilities. Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow. Flexible, proactive, and conscientious approach to work. Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and problem-solving capability. Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport is required.
