About the Role
- An excellent opportunity is available for an internal
- Sales Administrator to join a busy sales environment in
Southam on a full-time basis.
You will be a first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, quotations and sales administration while supporting the wider sales team with order processing, delivery coordination and customer documentation.
The role would suit an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working with customers, managing varied administrative responsibilities and adapting to changing priorities.
You will also liaise with suppliers, provide basic technical support and contribute to marketing and wider business activities when required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, responding promptly to telephone and email enquiries and providing a professional, friendly service.
- Prepare, register and follow up quotations, enter enquiries onto the company database and maintain accurate customer records and files.
- Support sales order processing, despatch, invoicing and delivery coordination, ensuring customer requirements and confirmed delivery dates are met.
- Arrange export documentation and carriage for UK and overseas orders, process customer returns and resolve queries relating to deliveries, stores and sales ledger matters.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding product pricing and delivery information, while providing basic technical support to customers and external personnel.
- Prepare internal works documentation, bills of materials, instructions and customer certificates, including test, conformity and origin certificates.
- Provide general sales and office administration, including filing, incoming post, meeting room preparation and holiday/absence cover for Sales Office colleagues.
- Support marketing activities, website updates and exhibitions when required, while maintaining company procedures, records, housekeeping and data protection standards.
Education & Skills Required
- Previous experience in a similar internal sales, sales administration or customer service role is desirable.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional approach.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a proactive and methodical approach to planning and prioritising work.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, internet and data processing; experience with Sage Accounts is desirable.
- The ability to interpret instructions accurately, manage changing priorities and work flexibly as part of a busy sales team.
- A willingness to learn and develop sales and product knowledge, including technical understanding relevant to the business.
