Our client is a long-established and trusted Independent Financial Advisors, who are looking to recruit additional expertise into their business.
We are therefore looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner, who will support the IFA’s with all client work.
We would also be open to hiring a Paraplanner who is looking to progress into becoming a fully qualified Advisor, and we would support that growth and development within the firm.
This varied role would offer full exposure to the complete financial advice process, allowing you to manage your own client portfolio while supporting technical case management, financial planning and business processing.

Duties & Responsibilities (If progressing to Advisor)
- Generate business opportunities whilst developing lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
- Manage and develop an existing client portfolio, delivering a professional and personalised financial planning service.
- Build strong referral partnerships with accountants, solicitors and other professional introducers.
- Manage the end-to-end client journey, from technical case preparation and paraplanning through to business submission and ongoing client servicing.
- Prepare high-quality suitability reports and personalised financial planning recommendations using internal systems.
- Respond to client enquiries, produce valuations and maintain accurate client documentation in a timely manner.
- Complete Capital Gains Tax calculations, chargeable event gain assessments and support tax-efficient financial planning strategies using specialist tools.
- Ensure all client work is completed accurately, maintaining compliant records within Intelligent Office whilst adhering to FCA regulations and internal compliance procedures.
Education & Skills Required
- Previous experience within wealth management, paraplanning or financial planning support.
- A good understanding of the UK financial planning market.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Sound knowledge of pensions, investments, Capital Gains Tax, chargeable events and tax planning principles.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and relationship-building skills with a commitment to delivering outstanding client outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using Intelligent Office or similar financial planning software would be advantageous.
