Join our team as a Supported Housing Officer and play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing tenancy breakdowns to find stability and a permanent home with the support they need. As a Supported Housing Officer, you'll provide housing management and support services to customers experiencing homelessness in a supported environment. You'll help residents gain the stability they need to progress toward independent or more suitable accommodation while ensuring the scheme is safe, secure, and well-managed.
Responsibilities:
- Providing onsite management and supervision of the scheme, including security, maintenance, health and safety, and cleanliness.
- Supporting vulnerable people to make informed choices and move towards independence.
- Implementing and reviewing support plans with clear outcomes.
- Ensuring accurate records and comprehensive inductions for all customers.
- Taking prompt action on tenancy issues and anti-social behaviour.
- Promoting service user participation and positive community relationships.
- Liaising with internal teams and external agencies to maximise support for residents.
- Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrating sound literacy and numeracy (e.g., GCSE English & Maths A-C or equivalent).
- Relevant training (e.g., First Aid, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene).
- Experience working with vulnerable people in supported housing.
- Strong communication, administration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy and attention to confidentiality.
- A positive, flexible, and person-centred approach.
- Be able to commute to Macclesfield and Congleton.
- Due to the nature of this role, you will need a valid UK driving licence.

Role details:
This is a permanent role working 21 hours per week. Your main base will be Macclesfield or Congleton, Cheshire.
Benefits:
You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days' annual leave (pro rata), plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year, and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually. You’ll also benefit from a company pension scheme where we contribute 9%, and colleagues can contribute anything from 3% upwards.
