As a Governance Business Partner, you will be central to the smooth and effective operation of Plus Dane’s governance framework. You’ll deliver high-quality administrative and governance support to our Executive Team, Board and Committee Members, helping to ensure Plus Dane meets all statutory, regulatory, and compliance requirements. In this role you will need to hold an understanding of corporate governance principles, regulatory expectations, and the ability to engage with and influence senior leaders. Your ability to produce clear, precise, and timely minutes will directly support effective decision-making and maintain our regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Governance Manager with administration for Boards, Committees, and Management Team.
  • Maintaining company records, registers, and filing systems.
  • Coordinating meetings, events, and Board Member induction and training.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Board Members, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Preparing agendas, dispatching papers, and producing accurate minutes for meetings.
  • Monitoring legislative changes and ensuring timely compliance updates.
  • Providing specialist advice on governance best practice and supporting policy development and change management projects.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Good standard of education with a business administration or governance qualification, or a willingness to work towards.
  • Demonstrable experience of producing high quality minutes for Board and Committee meetings in a regulated or complex environment, including minute-taking, secretarial work, and supporting Board or Committee meetings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using Board management software.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively, work flexibly, and support governance processes within a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyse discussion, capture key decisions, and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Experience in a housing, legal, or regulated sector, with knowledge of statutory filings, compliance, and policy development.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Confidence and credibility when engaging with Executive Team Members, Senior Managers and Board Members.

What you’ll get in return:

This is a permanent role 35 hours per week. Your main base will be either our Liverpool or Congleton office. You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually. You’ll also benefit from a company pension scheme where we contribute 9%, and colleagues can contribute anything from 3% upwards.
