As a Gas Engineer, you’ll deliver safe, efficient, high‑quality planned heating installations, servicing and breakdown repairs across our homes. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers safe, warm and supported, while helping us meet and exceed key compliance and service targets.

In this role, you will:

  • Carry out planned heating installations including combination boilers, heating conversions and full system installs.
  • Provide high‑quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs on boilers, fires, cookers and other domestic appliances.
  • Complete general plumbing and heating maintenance to required standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with gas safety legislation and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records using mobile technology and follow set schedules, rates and processes.
  • Represent Plus Dane professionally, delivering outstanding customer service at every visit.
  • Use your initiative to continually improve ways of working and support efficiency and service excellence.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Relevant ACS Gas Qualifications.
  • Proven experience of gas installations, including cookers & fires.
  • Strong background in servicing, repairing and maintaining a range of domestic heating appliances.
  • Experience in domestic plumbing repairs and installations.
  • Excellent understanding of gas safety legislation and regulatory obligations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • A solutions‑focused approach and willingness to learn, improve and support others.

Please note that this role requires travel between properties using a company vehicle, so a valid driving licence is essential. If you receive an offer, you will be asked to provide evidence of your qualifications—like original certificates—as part of the onboarding process before your appointment is confirmed.

This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week. You will be working across various locations in Merseyside. You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3‑day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually. You’ll also benefit from a company pension scheme where we contribute 9%, and colleagues can contribute anything from 3% upwards.
