Are you ready to take ownership of delivering exceptional technical support across a fast paced and growing organisation? Our IT team is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide 2nd line support from our Ashby office. This hands-on role is key to ensuring our systems, applications and hardware operate efficiently, securely and reliably for colleagues across multiple sites. This is an office-based position with occasional travel across the UK to support our operations and project activity.

What are you going to do?

  • Provide 2nd line support across a range of applications, devices and systems.
  • Ensure that incidents are resolved quickly while reducing recurring issues.
  • Support internal projects and new business implementations, offering technical advice to ensure smooth delivery and minimal disruption.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, support system updates and assist with ongoing IT initiatives.
  • Identify improvements, maintain service levels and ensure that all users receive a consistent, high-quality support experience.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in 2nd line IT support, with strong troubleshooting skills and solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networks, applications and security protocols.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues across multiple sites.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users, produce accurate technical documentation and contribute to wider IT projects when required.
