Our client's Finance team are commercially switched on and real experts in Excel, so if you know your way around a spreadsheet, that’s going to serve you well here. They are seeking a passionate Management Accountant to join their growing team. Assisting the Financial Controller in all aspects of the finance lifecycle. The need to understand deferred income and revenue recognition principles makes up a key area of this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers including invoices, receipts, and payments
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Manage credit cards
- Cashflow forecasting
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Assist in compiling regulatory returns and adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
- Production of Revenue Recognition including Deferred Income
- Prepare VAT returns
- Management of asset registers
- Support and assist with year-end financial audit queries
- Adhere to all internal policies and procedures
What You’ll Need:
- Ideally a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or studying)
- Strong attention to detail and ownership of your work
- A sharp communicator who can translate technical into action
- A mindset that’s curious, proactive, and commercially aware
- Solid Excel skills advanced is a must in this role currently
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment where no two weeks are the same
