Imagine a role where your expertise sets technical direction, influences engineering culture, and shapes how modern cloud platforms are built and operated. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and advancing the DevOps strategy across the organisation. Acting as a technical authority, you will partner closely with engineering, product, and architecture teams—both onshore and offshore—to implement best-in-class DevOps practices and evolve a modern, serverless AWS platform.
You will have significant influence over tooling, architecture, and ways of working, helping to mature the DevOps function and embedding reliability, security, and automation at scale.
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across DevOps and cloud engineering
- Influence architectural and technology decisions, particularly within AWS serverless ecosystems
- Design, build and evolve robust CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable software delivery
- Establish strong security practices, ensuring systems and data are protected by design
- Mentor and support engineers, fostering collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement
- Stay ahead of emerging DevOps and cloud technologies, introducing improvements where valuable
Significant experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles within cloud-native environments is required, along with a strong software engineering background, preferably with hands-on development experience. A platform-engineering mindset, with deep understanding of trade-offs and designing for failure, is essential.
Strong, hands-on AWS experience, including: Lambda, DynamoDB, AWS SAM, solid networking and security knowledge, including VPCs, security groups and VPNs, AWS Cloud Services & AWS Developer Tools, JavaScript / TypeScript & Node.js, SQL.
