As a Lecturer in Animal Studies, you’ll play a key role in inspiring students to develop their passion for animal welfare, husbandry, and science into successful, meaningful careers.

About the role:

You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons that bring learning to life—combining theory with hands‑on experience in our excellent animal management facilities. You’ll guide students to achieve their best, supporting them to gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed for further study or employment in the sector. Working closely with a dedicated team of animal care professionals, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, share good practice, and continuously improve the student experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience in Animal Science, Applied Zoology or a background teaching Secondary Science, although we are open to other specialisms.
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one with our full support).
  • Industry experience and up‑to‑date specialist knowledge in animal studies.
  • A genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
