About the Role: Plumpton College is looking for a dynamic and skilled Lecturer to join our innovative and expanding team. Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons to ensure consistently high student outcomes in metalsmithing and blacksmithing.
  • Foster student development in essential skills, including English and mathematics.
  • Embrace technology to enhance the learning experience, using modern tools and platforms.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their personal and professional growth.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvements, and continuous professional development.
  • Support students beyond the classroom through personal tutoring and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

  • A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
  • Industry experience in metalsmithing or blacksmithing.
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A strong commitment to student success and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for education and empowering future generations of craft professionals.
