We’re looking for an enthusiastic and solutions-focused IT Technician to join our dynamic IT team at Plumpton College. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in providing high-quality IT support across our vibrant, forward-thinking land and environmental college.

The Role

As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for delivering 1st line support across hardware, software, and network systems to ensure a smooth, responsive IT experience for students, staff, and stakeholders. Working closely with the IT Manager and wider team, you\'ll ensure IT operations run efficiently across all our campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the friendly face of IT support—resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff and students.
  • Responding to technical queries via phone, face-to-face, and the HALO helpdesk system
  • Keep our classrooms and AV setups running smoothly.
  • Support device rollouts, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to implement service improvements
  • Contribute to IT training sessions and suggest improvements to our helpdesk workflows.
  • Grow your skills with opportunities to progress into 2nd line or specialist roles.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience in IT support or a relevant qualification.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
  • A basic understanding of networking and device imaging.
  • Great communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • A full UK driving licence.
