About the role
Plumpton College is a leading provider of land, environment, food production and veterinary science education, recognised nationally for our high-quality apprenticeship provision. With apprentice numbers continuing to grow year on year, we are expanding our Apprenticeship team and are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Compliance Officer to support the delivery of compliant, high-quality apprenticeship programmes from enrolment through to completion. Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that all apprenticeship activity meets internal quality standards and current Department for Education funding rules. You will work closely with curriculum teams, support services and employer partners across the College to maintain accurate, robust and audit-ready apprenticeship records, supporting excellent outcomes for both apprentices and employers.
Key responsibilities
- Review apprenticeship enrolment and programme documentation, identifying and resolving errors to ensure full compliance.
- Carry out quality assurance checks at key points throughout the learner journey.
- Maintain accurate learner records, tracking status, progression and completion using internal data systems.
- Produce clear and timely reports for the Apprenticeship Manager and curriculum leads.
- Support audit preparation and contribute to continuous improvement of compliance processes to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
About you
This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience and a keen eye for detail, who enjoys working with data and systems. You will be confident managing competing priorities, proactive in identifying issues, and comfortable working collaboratively across teams. A positive, solution-focused approach and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will be based at our main campus and will form part of the wider Business Services Department, supporting the College's commitment to high-quality, compliant apprenticeship delivery.
