Plumbingforce are looking for an experienced self-employed Domestic Gas Engineer and Plumber to cover Gloucester and surrounding postcodes. This is a self-employed, freelance engagement with a consistent, managed workflow. Our back-office team handles customer service, quote follow-ups, routing and diary booking, so you can concentrate on the work. *£55,000–£65,000 per year achievable.*
Engineers are expected to travel up to approximately 30 miles or one hour to a job, depending on whether the area is rural or urban.

*What You'll Be Doing*
Day-to-day tasks include:
* Gas boiler breakdowns, fault finding, servicing, and general maintenance * Landlord gas safety checks (CP12) * Emergency response to water and gas leaks * General plumbing repairs across showers, WCs, bathrooms, and tanks * Customer-facing work with a focus on quality and satisfaction * All work carried out in compliance with manufacturer's instructions and current gas regulations, including correct handling of AR/ID unsafe situations
*What You Can Earn*
* £55,000–£65,000 per year achievable * 47% commission on labour, plus margin on parts * Top performers earning up to £100,000 per year
*Working Pattern*
* Rotating schedule: 5-day week followed by a 6-day week * Hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm
*Required Qualifications — Full ACS*
All of the following must be held:
* CCN1 — Core Gas Safety * CENWAT — Central Heating & Boilers * CKR1 — Cookers * MET1 — Gas Meters
The following are advantageous but not essential:
* HTR1 — Gas Fires * G3 — Unvented Hot Water
*Other Requirements*
* Minimum 3 years' experience in domestic boiler breakdowns and fault finding * Valid UK driving licence (required) * Own tools, including hand tools, drills, and a calibrated flue gas analyser * Own public liability insurance * Own mobile phone for work purposes * Strong understanding of unsafe situation procedures (AR/ID)
