Sales Assistant - Newmarket (CB8 7ER) - Plumb Centre

Responsibilities:
- Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
- Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
- Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
- General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system, putting it away, and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets
Role Details:
This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08:00 am - 12:00 pm.
We'd like you to have:
- Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal
- Previous Face-to-Face sales and customer service experience
- Warehouse experience
- The ability to deliver outstanding customer service
- To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
- To be comfortable lifting heavy items
