As a Senior Product Designer you will be a hands‑on individual contributor, working on improving the customer experience and building toward our mission. You’ll spend your time designing parts of the Plum product within a cross‑functional team.
Responsibilities- From carrying out research to implementing polished flows and interactions with engineers – solve user problems from beginning to end.
- Collaborate with other designers to establish Plum’s design processes, tooling setup, and core principles.
- Sketch and prototype ideas with your team, assess their viability before fleshing out finer details and interactions.
- Use research and testing to validate work and build empathy for Plum’s users.
- Partner with Product Managers to define how the product works and what it looks like in future iterations.
- Work closely with Engineers to build, iterate and ship your ideas.
- A product thinker – you care about why you’re designing something and what impact it will have for the user.
- A design process that puts humans first: you use data and research where necessary, and validate design through testing.
- A brilliant communicator – you can explain and rationalise the reasons for your design decisions, and receive and give constructive feedback.
- Able to work independently, but also know when to collaborate and when to ask for help.
- Fluent in designing for mobile devices and with a strong portfolio of projects showing your interaction and visual design skills.
- Experience shipping digital products and understanding how they get built.
- Familiar with iOS and Android design systems, able to reuse existing patterns or create custom ones.
