We’re working with a highly successful and proudly independent retailer, with over 300 stores across the UK, who are looking for a talented Buyer to join their dynamic Commercial Team at their Midlands Head Office in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, supportive, and down-to-earth team where you’ll be able to take ownership of your own product categories and drive real commercial results.

The Buying role will involve:

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with a mix of global FMCG giants and local family-run suppliers.
  • Negotiating pricing and trading terms, and managing orders in line with demand and strategic goals.
  • Developing balanced commercial plans and reviewing product ranges to maximise growth and margin.
  • Playing a key role in shaping category performance.

The ideal person will have:

  • A proactive and commercially-minded Buyer with previous experience in FMCG or a similar fast-moving retail sector.
  • Strong market awareness and a real passion for great products and trading.
  • An excellent communicator who thrives on building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A quick thinker who’s comfortable juggling priorities and making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
