Are you an experienced Accounts Administrator looking for a varied and rewarding role where you can truly make a difference? We're seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to join a small, successful company as the current Accounts/Office Administrator prepares for retirement. This is a rare opportunity to benefit from a comprehensive handover and training period, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
Working closely with the Directors and a small team of employees, you'll become the central point of support for the business, taking ownership of accounts administration, payroll, office management and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing day-to-day accounts using Sage 50
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
- Bank reconciliations and basic credit control
- Processing payroll for approximately 10 employees using Sage 50
- Producing reports and maintaining records
- Managing incoming calls and welcoming visitors
- Ordering and maintaining office stationery and supplies
- General administration, filing and office support
- Managing diaries, emails, contacts and business documents
Full support will be provided by the company's Accountant.
About You
You'll be a confident self-starter who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of your responsibilities. You will have recent experience using Sage 50 (or a similar accounting package) and be comfortable managing a varied workload with minimal supervision.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Previous accounts and office administration experience
- Sage 50 accounting and payroll experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A professional, flexible and can-do approach
