Performance marketing plays a critical role in our growth as we operate PPC at scale across some of the world’s most desirable cities and holiday destinations, with significant expansion planned this year.

THE ROLE

This is a hands‑on PPC Manager role focused on Google Ads (Search).

You will work directly with our CMO, a highly experienced performance marketer with a strong track record of scaling complex performance marketing and PPC programmes within leading travel marketplaces.

This is a rare opportunity to learn day-to-day from someone deeply hands‑on, commercially rigorous and proven at running PPC at scale. You will be closely embedded in how decisions are made, how complex trade‑offs are managed and how high‑performance PPC is operated in the real world.

The PPC account you will work on is large, multi‑destination and demanding. Performance varies significantly by destination and season, average booking values are high and cost of sale is tightly controlled to ensure profitability. This is not a “set and forget” account and it is not forgiving of poor execution.

You will own the day-to-day execution, optimisation and stability of Google Ads, working within clear commercial guardrails. Strategic direction comes from the CMO, but performance, consistency and execution quality sit squarely with you.

Plum Guide has achieved 40% year-on-year growth through PPC. This role plays a central part in maintaining performance and supporting continued growth in a competitive travel marketplace.

This is not a strategy-only role. It is a hands‑on, execution-led position with real responsibility for outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Running and optimising Google Ads campaigns day to day across a complex, multi-destination account

  • Owning PPC performance within strict COS and profitability constraints
  • Managing bids, structure, keywords and budgets to maintain performance and control risk
  • Operating PPC in line with seasonality and destination-level demand patterns
  • Monitoring performance closely, diagnosing issues early and taking sensible corrective action
  • Producing clear, reliable performance reporting using spreadsheets and agreed tools
  • Working closely with the CMO to execute priorities and continuously raise execution standards

Learning directly from the CMO through day-to-day collaboration, performance reviews and hands‑on problem solving, building the skills required to confidently run PPC in a complex marketplace

This role offers deep, hands‑on exposure to how high-quality PPC is run at scale and the opportunity to build serious, long-term expertise in performance marketing.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A proven, hands‑on PPC operator with 2+ years’ experience managing Google Ads
  • Experience working on complex PPC accounts, ideally across multiple destinations
  • Strong understanding of PPC fundamentals, optimisation levers and performance trade‑offs
  • Comfort operating within strict COS and profitability constraints
  • High execution standards, attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with performance data
  • Advanced fluency with spreadsheets such as Google Sheets or Excel
  • Pragmatic, low-ego and reliable — someone trusted to keep performance stable
  • Clear communicator who works effectively with senior stakeholders
