The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our finance team. This is a broad role in which you will be responsible for the operational finance function as well as managing a direct report. You will be responsible for the internal finance operations as well as statutory and tax compliance.
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for managing the day-to-day finance function
- Managing junior members of the finance team - overseeing their work to ensure accuracy and assisting with their development
- Implementing financial controls, systems and procedures to continuously improve operations
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Leading the UK audit
- Business partnering with other teams across the business
- Managing a US subsidiary company
- Managing payroll for the UK company, US company and remote employees
- Reporting payroll relevant information to HMRC e.g. P11Ds, PSA
- Preparing VAT returns
- Compliance filings in each country in which we operate, such as withholding tax obligations, tourist tax filings, and monthly, quarterly and annual informative filings in various countries
- Managing external relationships with advisors (e.g. Auditors) and service providers
- Adhoc analysis and compliance tasks as required
Who we are looking for
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Previous experience in an in-house finance role, preferably in a start-up environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and manage expectations
- An all-rounder with a ‘hands on’ mentality
- Ability to make decisions and show judgement independently
