The role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our Partnerships Strategy team. As a Lead, you will spearhead key initiatives, managing relationships with banking partners and leading the development of negotiation strategies. You will ensure smooth information flow across teams, aligning commercial priorities with strategic goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the best outcomes for the business and delivering high-impact partnerships.
Description
- Use your sector knowledge and industry relationships to proactively identify, scope, and drive new opportunities for Plum and our customers.
- Manage an end-to-end process: find the right potential partners, pitch Plum as a client, negotiate the commercial agreements and contracts, explain our operation and compliance processes and operationalise the partnership.
- Manage and support the day-to-day requirements for our regulatory licences from a product perspective.
- Lead cross-functional strategic projects independently, making high-impact decisions that align with organisational goals.
- Collaborate across teams (finance, operations, product, compliance etc.) to deliver and build better products and experiences for our customers.
- Your contribution will be mainly from the partnerships, regulatory and operational banking partnerships point of view.
- Effectively balance short-term and long-term priorities, managing multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decisions, and develop strategies to maximise business opportunities.
About you
- Have experience working in a similar role at a fintech.
- Are able to independently negotiate the most ideal terms with a clear product vision and understanding in mind and you can figure out the ideal operational and commercial process with every new partner.
- Are familiar with how corporate banks, brokers and financial institutions work and their decision makers.
- Are excellent at creating and managing external relationships, constantly creating opportunities to improve them.
- Have an understanding of different financial licensing frameworks and requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C-Suite.
- Happy to work independently and flexibly within a fast-moving environment.
