The role:

We're looking for a Founder Associate to join our leadership team and work directly with Plum's founder on high-impact strategic initiatives. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Plum, focusing on expanding our total addressable market, exploring new geographies, and identifying acquisition opportunities that accelerate our mission. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in unstructured environments, combines analytical rigour with entrepreneurial instinct, and wants to be at the heart of building a category-leading fintech company.

What you will do:

  • Work hand-in-hand with the founder on special projects that drive step-change growth and market expansion
  • Lead analysis and due diligence on potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships across European markets
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Plum's TAM, including new product verticals and geographic markets
  • Synthesise complex, unstructured information into clear strategic recommendations and actionable plans
  • Build financial models and business cases to assess commercial viability and future opportunities
  • Take ownership of cross-functional initiatives from conception through execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the founder, bringing curiosity, commercial acumen, and fresh perspectives to strategic decisions

What we look for:

  • Proven track record in investment banking or corporate finance, ideally within financial services
  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical and financial modelling skills – you're exceptional with numbers and commercial thinking
  • Fluency in a continental European language (in addition to English) and understanding of European markets
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving situations
  • Comfortable taking calculated risks and making decisions with imperfect information
  • Natural curiosity and drive to understand how things work and how they could work better
  • Passion for Plum's mission to help people automatically manage their money and build wealth for the future

Benefits:

  • Own part of the company through stock options
  • Private health insurance
  • Annual training budget
  • Plum Premium
  • Referral scheme: earn competitive rewards
  • Flexible approach to remote working: we encourage at least 2 days a week in one of our beautiful offices in London, Athens or Cyprus
  • Team breakfasts and team lunches
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • 45 work-from-anywhere days: giving you the flexibility to work your way
  • 2 weeks sabbatical after 4 years to take the break you deserve
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Annual team trip: to a surprise destination!
  • A fun, inclusive company culture

If you think this sounds like a bit of you then don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Thanks, Plum Team
