Formed to reduce third party reliance and recover margin lost to subcontracting, VEV LV is a core enabler in our wider strategy to deliver end to end energy infrastructure.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Electrician to join the foundational team delivering VEV's in house LV capability.

This is a hands‑on, senior‑level field role for an electrician with a strong technical foundation, leadership qualities, and a desire to support decarbonisation at scale.

You'll take responsibility for executing and overseeing critical installation and testing works - while playing a pivotal role in shaping the quality, safety, and culture of VEV LV.

  • Core responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver low voltage electrical installations across EV infrastructure, battery systems, and other sustainable projects
  • Ensure all work is compliant with BS7671 wiring regulations, VEV policies, and NICEIC certification standards
  • Execute inspections, testing, and commissioning for electrical systems with detailed documentation
  • Interpret schematics and drawings, and work alongside engineers to align delivery with design and programme
  • Provide on‑site leadership, mentoring junior electricians and embedding a culture of quality and safety
  • Support internal performance tracking, testing accuracy, and governance activities
  • Work collaboratively across the wider VEV team to support end to end project delivery
  • Actively participate in the development of VEV LV as a saleable high-performance unit
  • The successful candidate will
  • Be NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation certified
  • Be 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certified
  • Be 2391 or 2394/2395 Testing and Inspection certified
  • Have ECS/JIB Gold Card
  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of LV installation experience including testing responsibilities
  • Have a strong commitment to safety, technical quality, and low carbon impact
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
