The ideal candidate will be a people person who can quickly earn the trust of the whole team and continue to build our strong, mission driven culture. They will be equally comfortable with financial modelling or developing board materials and bring a bias to action.## **Role description**Reporting directly to the CEO, you will help translate Natcap’s strategy into clear priorities, effective decisions and coordinated action across the company.You will work closely with the CEO, Executive Team and Board across strategy, finance, people, fundraising and company operations. You will bring structure and momentum to the company’s most important priorities, identify where progress is at risk, and take ownership of resolving the issues that matter most.You will often operate across organisational boundaries, working through ambiguity and taking projects from an initial question through to a high-quality outcome.You should be equally comfortable developing a financial plan, shaping a Board agenda, improving an operating process and leading a complex cross-functional project.## **You will be responsible for -***People and organisation -** Enabling effective recruitment and onboarding, performance management, organisational design, management support and employee engagement.* Supporting managers and the leadership team to build and sustain high performing teams, including managing HR issues.* Delivering a positive and fulfilling employee experience, underpinned by a strong culture.*Finance and business operations -** Leading budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis, and maintaining a clear view of company performance, cash and runway.* Ensuring leaders have timely, accurate and decision-useful financial information.* Strengthening financial discipline and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without undermining delivery.*Strategy and company performance -** Working with the CEO and Executive Team to translate Natcap’s strategy into clear priorities, goals and measurable outcomes.* Maintaining the company’s operating rhythm, including planning, performance reviews and leadership updates.* Identifying where progress is off track and coordinating action to resolve risks, unblock delivery and support effective trade-offs.*Board, investors and fundraising -** Shaping Board agendas and coordinating high-quality materials, decisions and follow-up actions.* Managing regular investor communications and the flow of information between the Board, investors and leadership team.* Coordinating fundraising readiness and execution, including investor materials, the data room, diligence and project planning.*Strategic projects and CEO support** Leading high-priority cross-functional projects from initial scoping through to implementation.* Helping the CEO focus time and attention on the activities with greatest strategic value.* Supporting the CEO to deliver effective fundraising processes.## **What you'll bring to the role -**### **Must Haves:*** At least three years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.* Strong strategic, financial and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear decisions.* Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.* A proactive, resilient and highly organised approach.* Comfort working across a broad remit in a growing company.* A genuine interest in Natcap’s mission and the role of business in addressing nature-related challenges.### **Nice To Haves:*** Previous experience in a Chief of Staff, strategy, finance, operations or similar cross-functional role.* Experience in a top tier management consulting, investment banking, or other professional services firm* Experience working in a venture-backed or rapidly scaling company.* Familiarity with enterprise software, data businesses, sustainability, climate or nature-related markets.* Experience applying AI and automation tools to improve analysis, decision-making or operational processes.## **What We Can Offer You -***Get out into nature:* We run regular Away Days where we get out into nature and work on the big-picture.*Invest in your learning & development:* We care deeply about your professional growth and development.
