Plowman Craven is a leader in Geospatial Technologies, delivering highly accurate survey and spatial data solutions to some of the UK’s largest developers, contractors and engineering firms. We are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor to join us on a fixed-term contract (up to 10 months) to support a major industrial site project near Southampton.
The Role
This is a fully site-based role working within two-person survey teams under the direction of a Lead Surveyor. You will be responsible for:
- High-accuracy traversing and levelling
- Total station observations using Leica equipment
- SLAM data capture using NavVis VLX systems
- Producing accurate site records and shift reports
- Working safely within a live industrial environment
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, high-profile project using advanced geospatial technology.
About You
You will have:
- 3+ years’ practical surveying experience
- Strong experience in traditional survey techniques and total station use
- A relevant qualification in Surveying or Civil Engineering
- A valid CSCS card
- Full UK manual driving licence
- The ability to deploy daily within the Southampton/Portsmouth area
Experience with NavVis VLX/MLX systems would be highly advantageous, but training can be provided. You’ll be a proactive team player with strong communication skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
