We are looking for a motivated BIM Technician to join our Digital Delivery Team, you will support the delivery of high quality BIM outputs across a range of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable professional with experience working in a BIM delivery environment who is looking to develop their career within a collaborative and forward thinking team.
You will be responsible for authoring, validating and quality assuring Revit models derived from point cloud data captured by our survey teams. You'll work closely with Surveyors, Project Managers and other digital specialists, playing a key role in delivering accurate, consistent and BIM ready models for client use, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our BIM workflows, tools and best practice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Author and quality assure Revit models in line with company standards and project requirements
- Produce high-quality BIM-ready models from point cloud data captured by our in-house survey teams
- Validate and verify graphical and non-graphical model data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Work closely with Project Managers, Surveyors and digital delivery colleagues to apply appropriate workflows, techniques and software
- Ensure BIM deliverables meet agreed quality, programme and health and safety requirements
- Provide technical input and support to project teams on model authoring standards and BIM processes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, tools and best practice
- Maintain accurate project data in line with company quality assurance and data governance procedures
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience using Revit within a BIM delivery environment
- Strong understanding of BIM standards and model authoring best practice
- Experience creating, coordinating and validating BIM models
- Ability to work with point cloud data within BIM workflows
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM-related workflows
- Understanding of data governance, quality assurance and compliance requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing quality outputs
- Experience within the construction, surveying or geospatial sectors would be advantageous
- Experience with additional BIM software or tools such as ArchiCAD, Tekla, MicroStation, Dynamo or clash detection tools would be desirable
- Understanding of geospatial data, including LiDAR and photogrammetry, would be desirable
- An architectural or engineering-related qualification would be desirable but is not essential
