We are seeking an organised and motivated HSEQ Administrator to join our team, supporting activities across the business. You will provide administrative and coordination support to help ensure our HSEQ systems, records and processes remain accurate, current and effectively implemented. Working closely with the Head of HSEQ, operational teams and support functions, you will play a key role in maintaining documentation, coordinating audits and training, monitoring actions and supporting performance reporting.
As a central point of coordination for routine HSEQ information, you will help colleagues access the correct documentation and complete required actions within agreed timescales. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in HSEQ administration, coordination or business support who would like to develop a career across health, safety, environmental and quality management.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the maintenance and continual improvement of Plowman Craven’s HSEQ management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Managing document control for policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, forms and records.
- Maintaining compliance registers, electronic filing systems and an organised library of HSEQ evidence.
- Coordinating audits, inspections, management reviews and certification assessments and monitoring resulting actions through to completion.
- Administering incident, near-miss, hazard, environmental event and non-conformance records, including supporting investigation and corrective-action tracking.
- Maintaining employee and contractor training and competence records, monitoring qualification expiries and coordinating training and inductions.
- Gathering and checking performance data and supporting the preparation of dashboards, management reports, statistics and trend analysis.
- Supporting accreditations, prequalification renewals, environmental records, HSEQ communications and employee engagement activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a HSEQ administrative, coordination or comparable business support role.
- Experience maintaining accurate records, registers, document libraries and action trackers.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and competing priorities.
- Experience preparing reports, spreadsheets, presentations or meeting papers.
- Strong attention to detail, including the ability to check information for accuracy and follow up missing or overdue items.
- Professional communication skills and confidence working with colleagues at different organisational levels.
- Sound judgement when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- An awareness of UK health and safety requirements and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 would be beneficial.
- Internal auditor, environmental awareness, sustainability, quality management or document control training would be advantageous.
