What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering measured building surveys and site work using a mix of cutting-edge scanning technology and traditional surveying methods.
- Acting as a trusted technical specialist, ensuring project data is collected, processed and delivered to the highest standard.
- Working closely with Survey Leads, Project Managers and delivery teams to plan and execute projects efficiently and commercially.
- Managing project data from collection through to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to company standards.
- Liaising directly with clients when required, representing Plowman Craven professionally on-site.
- Supporting junior surveyors, providing guidance and helping them grow their technical capability.
- Working flexibly, including occasional night work or time away, depending on project needs.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years' surveying experience, ideally within measured building, topographical or laser scanning work.
- Strong practical skills using total stations, laser distos, GNSS and similar equipment.
- Good working knowledge of laser scanning and processing scan data.
- Solid experience using AutoCAD, with the ability to produce accurate plans and drawings.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset — someone who steps forward, takes responsibility and delivers confidently.
- A relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Engineering.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to work flexibly across different sites.
