Property Surveyor in Harpenden

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering measured building surveys and site work using a mix of cutting-edge scanning technology and traditional surveying methods.
• Acting as a trusted technical specialist, ensuring project data is collected, processed and delivered to the highest standard.
• Working closely with Survey Leads, Project Managers and delivery teams to plan and execute projects efficiently and commercially.
• Managing project data from collection through to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to company standards.
• Liaising directly with clients when required, representing Plowman Craven professionally on-site.
• Supporting junior surveyors, providing guidance and helping them grow their technical capability.
• Working flexibly, including occasional night work or time away, depending on project needs.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years' surveying experience, ideally within measured building, topographical or laser scanning work.
• Strong practical skills using total stations, laser distos, GNSS and similar equipment.
• Good working knowledge of laser scanning and processing scan data.
• Solid experience using AutoCAD, with the ability to produce accurate plans and drawings.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive mindset — someone who steps forward, takes responsibility and delivers confidently.
• A relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to work flexibly across different sites.
