Join Our Offshore UAS Pilot Talent Pool – Oil & Gas

At Plowman Craven, we're continuing to grow our capability within offshore and onshore energy inspection and are looking to connect with experienced Offshore UAS Pilots for future opportunities across the UK and internationally.

We're building a network of experienced professionals with oil & gas inspection experience who would be interested in upcoming projects and permanent opportunities as our Inspection team continues to expand. We're particularly interested in people who are comfortable operating in complex, safety critical environments and can confidently deliver high quality aerial data capture in the field.

Typical work may include:

  • Offshore and onshore oil & gas inspections
  • Photogrammetry and orthophoto capture
  • Thermal and visual inspections
  • Asset integrity and engineering support
  • International and remote mobilisations

What We're Looking For

We'd like to hear from candidates with experience in:

  • Offshore or onshore oil & gas operations
  • Enterprise UAS platforms such as DJI M350 RTK (or similar)
  • RGB payloads including P1 / H20
  • Thermal inspection workflows
  • Photogrammetry and high-resolution data capture
  • Inspection reporting or defect identification workflows

Desirable experience includes:

  • LiDAR operations
  • Internal asset or confined space inspections
  • Tank or vessel inspections
  • Gas detection or emissions monitoring
  • Surveying, inspection, or engineering exposure
  • Additional languages

Certifications & Requirements

  • Valid UAS certification (GVC or EASA equivalent)
  • BOSIET / FOET
  • Offshore medical
  • Full driving licence
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally

You'll ideally be someone who:

  • Has a strong safety first mindset
  • Is comfortable working independently in offshore or remote environments
  • Communicates well with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality deliverables
  • Can adapt quickly in fast-paced operational settings
  • Represents themselves and the business professionally on site and offshore
