Role Description
This is a full-time, remote, 6 month contract for a Senior Paralegal at Ploughshare. The incumbent will work within the Commercialisation Team to lead the review of legal documentation. The role will require a revamp of existing Agreements (e.g. non-disclosure agreements, IP option agreements, IP license agreements, consultancy agreements, etc.) as well as drafting of new Agreements and other Company documents that support the Commercialisation Team.
The Senior Paralegal will be responsible for legal document preparation, communication, research, document review, and other legal support tasks associated with the role.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be a qualified paralegal and will have extensive knowledge and experience in intellectual property and licensing. Ideally from a commercial background, most probably in technology transfer. Strong communication skills are a must as is the ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and Ploughshare’s external partners. The postholder will have the confidence and skills to discuss their work at all levels to a range of audiences.
· Qualified paralegal with extensive knowledge and experience in intellectual property and licensing.
· Likely to be from a commercial background, ideally in technology transfer.
· Able to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and Ploughshare’s external partners.
· Commercially agile with strong interpersonal skills
· Time and project management skills.
· Good interpersonal skills: interaction with a diverse set of individuals including experts in specific areas of science, patent attorneys and contacts in commercial companies. Being able to link all these require high level verbal and written skills.
Location
This is a home working contract; some occasional travel to London or Salisbury may be required from time to time.
