We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our Technology team at PlotBox, a global leader in cemetery and crematory management software. Our mission is to help our customers better serve families through innovative technology that brings clarity, efficiency, and peace of mind to an essential industry.
In this role, you’ll be key to ensuring our software is fit for purpose, reliable, and delivering the best possible experience to our users. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and project teams to conduct both manual and automated testing—helping us release innovative, high-quality solutions with confidence.
What you will do:
- Identify and raise incidents in a timely manner
- Liaise with internal teams including developers and product managers to identify system requirements and help to plan out our new features
- Provide QA support for existing customers by reviewing issues and ensuring timely resolution
- Provide QA support on new project implementations
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
What we are looking for:
- Be educated to degree level in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar subject OR equivalent experience
- Have 2 years experience in a software testing or quality assurance role
- Have a strong working knowledge of software methodologies, tools and processes
- Have experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases
- Have experience of working in an agile/scrum environment
