Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week in our Ballymena HQ, Co Antrim.

We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team and play a key role in supporting our financial operations across the UK/NI, Australia, and the US. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, you’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing finance team that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From payroll and reconciliations to credit control and reporting, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a hands-on, varied role that’s perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives on accuracy, and loves being part of a team that values efficiency, trust, and continuous improvement.

What you will do:

  • Payroll for 3 companies (UK/NI, Australia and US)
  • Monthly pension processing
  • Assist in month end preparation ensuring processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner, including bank reconciliations, deferred income, accruals and prepayments
  • Maintain accounts receivable ledger - raising sales invoices, settlements
  • Maintain purchase ledger - matching supplier invoices to purchase orders, ensuring invoices are properly authorised, preparing payment run for authorisation
  • Credit control and monthly debtor reconciliation
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Managing employee expense reimbursement process
  • Managing company credit cards
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Responding to customer enquiries effectively
  • Support with Annual Audit processes
  • Additional admin support within the team, as required.

What we are looking for:

  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Competent in the use of accounts packages (such as Xero, SAGE etc)
  • Strong IT skills, including working knowledge of a range MS Office or G-suite applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
