Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week in our Ballymena HQ, Co Antrim when in Northern Ireland. This role will require regular travel across the UK/Ireland as well as occasional travel to the US. Although our intention is to provide notice of travel, our Drone Pilot\’s plans are affected by the weather and as such short notice requests can be made and flexibility will be required. You’ll play a vital role in gathering high-quality aerial data to support our GIS (Geographic Information System) services, empowering our clients to create accurate cemetery maps and streamline their operations. What you will do: Operate drones to capture detailed aerial imagery for PlotBox projects. Plan and execute safe, efficient flight paths while adhering to local aviation regulations. Process and manage drone-captured data, ensuring accuracy and quality. Collaborate with our GIS and Data teams to integrate imagery into our software platform. Maintain and calibrate drone equipment to ensure optimal performance. Deliver exceptional customer service during onsite operations with clients. Whilst office based you will provide GIS assistance to wider mapping team effort. What we are looking for: Proven experience as a licensed Drone Pilot with a strong portfolio of aerial work. A2 CofC Certification from CAA. Knowledge of GIS mapping or photogrammetry. Proficiency in drone operation software and mapping tools. Strong technical skills in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and time management abilities. Ability to travel as required for onsite data collection. Strong appreciation for public safety and H&S in general when on missions. Applicants must be 23 years old or over. This is due to insurance requirements. Desirable Experience – not a deal breaker: GVC Certification from CAA. FAA Part 107 Drone Certification. EASA Open Subcategory A2 Certification. GIS Certification. Why should you join PlotBox?
