GIS Technician in Ballymena

Location: Ballymena

Contract type: We have 2 contracts available. 1 x Permanent; 1 x 12 month contract.

We’re looking for 2 GIS Technicians to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Senior GIS Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality mapping outputs that meet customer needs while helping drive continuous improvement and innovation across our products. This role is best suited to someone who can work independently, apply best-practice GIS methods and tools, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the business.

What You Will Do

• Creating Cemetery Specs from Google MyMaps
• Tabulating Cemetery Specs on Google Spreadsheets
• Creation of georeferenced aerial mosaics
• Using Photoshop to alter TIFFs, PNGs and JPEGs
• Creating webmaps through the use of ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Champion product consistency and support implementation of product standards
• Continuous innovation to improve current product capabilities
• General assistance to wider mapping team effort

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in a GIS related subject or equivalent experience
• Experience using:

• Photoshop
• ArcMap
• ArcGIS Pro
• AutoCAD
• G Suite (mail, drive, Hangouts, docs) or Microsoft Office
• Google MyMaps
