Accountant — International SME Fintech Summary

- Compensation: GBP 40,000 – 50,000
You’ll join a fast-growing international fintech providing flexible funding solutions to SMEs. Originally launched in Australia, the business now operates across APAC and Europe and has funded more than $1.5B in loans.
What you’ll do
- Manage the accounts inbox, making sure urgent or important items are prioritised and escalated appropriately
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and keep loan transactions accurately recorded
- Process supplier invoices, validate supplier bank details, maintain supplier records, and send remittance advices
- Reconcile company credit card transactions and prepare staff expense reimbursements for review and approval
- Support commission pay runs, including updating payment status in Orgmeter
- Help deliver accurate month‑end reporting through P&L support, balance sheet and control account reconciliations, and follow‑up on discrepancies
Who we’re looking for
This will suit you if you’re an early‑career accountant who enjoys hands‑on finance operations work and takes accuracy seriously.
Must‑haves
- Early‑career accountant or assistant accountant experience, with the confidence to run day‑to‑day accounting tasks accurately while supporting a senior finance team
- Hands‑on experience across bank reconciliations, accounts payable, invoice processing, expense and credit card reconciliations, and month‑end reporting support
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Luxembourg accounting experience
- German language capability
Nice‑to‑haves
- Experience in financial services, lending, fintech, or another regulated environment
- Experience in a fast‑growing, international, multi‑entity, or high‑volume transaction environment
- Confidence managing multi‑entity transactions and reconciliations
